The Kendra

A Friend of mine is in the infant stages of planning her wedding, her inspiration "clean, crisp, white", which is terribly difficult to capture in photos. I searched and searched and put this board together, and even though it may not be anything what she imagined I think it came out pretty crispy!

RGB or CMYK?

I thought if I started with a nw mood board I would be inspired to get going again. And so... I started with colors, should it be sherberts, or Citrus, or Chocolate and something else delectable? I couldn't choose. Then I got to thinking I wonder if some brides also have a hard time choosing, and THEN I though, WHY CHOOSE?????? Ta-DA. Rainbow wedding. It would be so fun!!!!

WEll, it is a new year and I have decided to "look on the bright side" as well as explore my creative side a little further. and so.... I want to make things this year, things that I actually have to use my brain to work on. I want to make a lamp out of driftwood or plumbing and I want to reupholster my grandmas chaise lounge...

Sunday in the Sun!

We spent the 88 degree December day at the beach bouldering (climbing rocks). I brought the camera and got some nice shots of Adam being a rock monkey. His photos were terrible, a bunch of unflattering shots of my behind. Anyhow, it was a lovely day!

Who Says We Have No Seasons>??

Ok, so Fall should have been captured a few months ago, but hey, we are kind of lazy here in southern California. Today there were pretty leaves all over the sidewalks and as the sun was going down everything turned an orangey yellow color and the air was just so soft. So, I took a few pics. Here is Adams Fave.

Repurpose!

I found this rusty old meat grinder at the flea market last weekend and though "hey that would be the cutest little planter" and VOILA!
I might have to get more, I am a bit obsessed!

Chair

I did this a bit ago, but I just now got to upload the before photos.
So this chair was abandoned on a street in Silverlake. I rescued it from certain dumpster or dog pee. It had 4 different fabric layers on it. I stripped them down and gave it new cushy organic cotton batting seat and a new fishy printed fabric. I sanded the wood frame and gave it a little stripe action. Now it is ready for additional chair buddies and possibly even a table friend!

I saw this lovely picture of a livingroom that I would die for, I love the shingled wall and the little birdies in the trees! SO cute, but the pug would totally stomp all over that table!! Way too low for our house:(

I did however attend a great wedding a few weeks ago, of dear friends of mine from up north. It was really a lovely affair!!! And they had a photo booth, I just love those! Of course my mother was my date, as Adam couldn't get out of school to travel out to the wilderness:)

Bad Blogger

I will begin again, I promise. I have been so busy lately with work and commuting there has not been much time for fun blogging. but I saw that people still do stop by and check in and I feel bad!!!
